From a simple initiative to a Foundation
Created in Haiti, about 21 years ago, when several other organizations and foundations were also created without making big changes to the unfortunate situation of misery of the Haitian people, this social movement comes from an initiative of Sophia Martelly with her husband Michel and their kids.
In September 2008, this family initiative became a foundation and is called « Fondation Rose et Blanc (FREB) ». Since then, it has established contacts with governmental entities, NGO’s and other private institutions in order to combine efforts to improve the social, sanitarian and economic conditions of Haitians.
FREB, since its creation, has been able to intervene in many departments of the country bringing support and accompaniment to the most disadvantaged.
Seeing the impact made by FREB, over the years various caring people and institutions backed up this initiative which primarily aims to help those in need.
